PRIVACY
Privacy Policy
NSTA Tasmania respects your privacy and handles personal information only for legitimate training, scheduling, account administration and support purposes.
Information we collect
We may collect contact details, portal account details, course reservations, training schedules, attendance allocations and communications with our team. Staff activity affecting portal access or operational records may be retained in an audit history.
The NSTA-branded enrolment page collects identity, contact, USI, AVETMISS, accessibility and declaration information required to review a training application. These responses are stored in the restricted administrator enrolment inbox and are not available to trainers, partners or public browser accounts.
How information is used
Information is used to administer portal access, schedule courses, allocate trainers and students, manage partner reservations, communicate operational updates, protect the service and meet applicable training and legal obligations.
Where information is stored
Portal account and operational information is stored using client-controlled Supabase infrastructure. The public website is hosted using client-controlled deployment infrastructure. Enrolment, USI and AVETMISS responses are stored in restricted Supabase database tables accessed only through authorised server routes. The client must confirm the production region, backup arrangements and approved retention periods before launch.
Access and disclosure
Access is limited by account role. Administrators can manage the service, trainers can access their own schedules and assigned students, and partners can access their organisation's courses, pricing and reservations. Information may be disclosed to service providers where required to operate the service, or where required or authorised by law.
Security and retention
We use role-based access, server-side authorisation, audit logging, encrypted connections and restricted database access. Information is retained only for an approved operational, contractual or legal purpose. Final retention periods and deletion procedures must be approved by NSTA Tasmania before this policy is published.
Access, correction and complaints
To request access to or correction of your personal information, or to raise a privacy concern, contact NSTA Tasmania at tasmania@nsta.edu.au or 0476 387 482. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The current approved version and effective date will be published on this page.
